Questions and answers

What is detailing?

Detailing is taking the time to get your vehicle sparkling clean, no matter what condition it was in before. Inside, we steam-clean carpets, mats and seats, clean the door jambs, condition the dashboard and interior surfaces, and use brushes to clean small crevices. Outside, we protect the paint with a hybrid ceramic wax that shields it from the sun and road debris.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

No. Every one of our mobile units comes fully equipped with its own water and power, so we can work at your home, office or marina.

How do I know when my car needs waxing?

Run your hand across the paint. If it feels smooth, you don’t need wax yet. If it doesn’t feel smooth, it’s time for a wash and wax. Dark-colored cars need more attention than light ones.

How often should my interior be treated?

Vinyl should be treated a couple of times a year, especially when it’s hot and sunny, to keep it from fading, drying out and cracking. Real leather needs a dedicated leather conditioner. Regular conditioning keeps your interior looking new and saves you the cost of repairs or replacement.

What is hybrid ceramic wax?

Hybrid ceramic wax uses advanced SiO2 chemistry but goes on as easily as an ordinary liquid wax, by hand or with a dual-action polisher. It leaves a slick, water-beading layer that seals the paint on cars, trucks and SUVs from the environment.

When should my paint be machine polished?

When you notice the paint fading or looking discolored. The process is a light compound, then a paint sealant, then a wash and wax. The same process that restores the paint also removes surface scratches.

What is paint correction?

Paint correction levels the clear coat until it’s free of swirl marks and light scratches. Swirl marks are fine cuts in the paint where light bounces around inside the scratch, which is what makes paint look hazy.

How much does a detail cost?

Our packages start at $70 for a Detail Mobile Wash, $85 for an Exterior Wash & Wax, $125 for a Wash & Wax, $185 for a Full Detail and $250 for a Deluxe Detail. Prices vary with vehicle size and condition, and excessive pet hair, sand, food, paint or glitter is extra.
